The Marine Toys for Tots Foundation is a non-profit organisation that helps to support the Marine Corps toy drive. The Cots 4 Tots story began in 2010 with a fund-raising appeal to Bristol's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) located at St Michael's Hospital. Since its beginning the charity has raised tens of thousands of pounds to help families with sick or premature babies in the West of England and South Wales. Its mission includes providing families with accommodation facilities as well as state-of-the art equipment for the NICU.

Cots for Tots House is a "home away from home" for families staying in the hospital. It is located right next to the NICU which allows parents to be close to their infants. Since 2012 the charity has assisted more than 2100 families remain at home.
